Weather Considerations

  • During inclement weather a decision to either cancel the show or move it inside will be made by 1 p.m. the day of the Twilight Tattoo Performance.  Please check the website and our official social media for the official weather call.
  • During inclement weather, Twilight Tattoo moves indoors to Conmy Hall, located across the street from the performance field, Summerall Field.
  • In case of inclement weather, the show will be held in Conmy Hall (Bldg. 241) on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall which has very limited seating.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If projected audiences exceed our indoor or outdoor venue capacity, we may have to inform groups they are not able to attend the performance. We ask that you please be flexible and understand our limitation in this ever changing COVID environment.

For the official weather decision please call 202-685-2888. Information on performances will be updated by 1 p.m. on the day of the event.

  • Please bring water to stay hydrated as the summer months of DC area weather are typically very hot and humid.

  • Bleacher seating is available on first-come, first-served basis. Grass seating is also available and we recommend you bring a blanket or lawn chairs.
  • Please e-mail us if you are a person with a disability and to make reasonable accommodations for seating.

  • Twilight Tattoo offers many opportunities to capture photo and video. We encourage you to take pictures of our Soldiers before, during and after performances and share your images on your social media using the hashtag #TwilightTattoo.

  • No pets are allowed.

  • While Twilight Tattoo can be fun for all ages, the show does include some loud noises, including salutes from the Presidential Salute Battery and gunfire (blanks) during the vignettes. If you or your family members are sensitive to loud noises, ear plugs or other hearing protection is recommended.

Meeting the Soldiers

  • Selected Soldiers performing in the show will greet audience members as they arrive, and all will be available at the conclusion of the Tattoo to answer any questions and pose for photographs.
